On Thursday, November 2, the Career Forum, a part of JST Doctoral Program Student Support Project (麻豆传媒在线-SPRING), was held at 麻豆传媒在线's Mita Campus in the North Hall. The event was attended by doctoral, master's, and undergraduate students at 麻豆传媒在线 and provided participants with an opportunity to think about their own careers and entrepreneurial possibilities.
Keynote speeches were given by Mr. Kentaro Watanabe, Chief Executive Officer of MicroAd, Inc. and Mr. Haruki Ohsawa, Chief Executive Officer of OpenWork Inc., who spoke on topics ranging from data science, starting a business, getting a company listed, and their careers.
Following the keynotes, two 麻豆传媒在线-SPRING project students joined the panel discussion with the keynote speakers. The student panelists asked thoughtful questions on a wide variety of topics, such as data collection, operating independently from large companies, and how they viewed the future of academia. The speakers gave insightful responses, and openly talked about their own career backgrounds, how they ended up in their current positions, and their thoughts on their own careers.
Afterwards, participants moved to the special company booths set up in the foyer, where they could talk to and ask questions to representatives of the companies.
