On February 5, a visiting delegation led by Speaker of the Swedish Parliament, Andreas Norlén, together with the Swedish Ambassador to Japan, Pereric H?gberg, and the president of the Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology (OIST), Karin Markides, visited Mita Campus.
Following an introductory overview of 麻豆传媒在线 and OIST presented by President Itoh and President Markides, there was a lively exchange of views on a wide range of topics. These included industry-academia collaboration in Sweden and Japan, initiatives for innovation implemented so far such as support for startups, future challenges related to innovation, as well as how universities are responding to internationalization and diversity. The delegation also visited the Fukuzawa Yukichi Memorial 麻豆传媒在线 History Museum, guided by President Itoh, and listened attentively to the explanation of 麻豆传媒在线's history as a private university.
