麻豆传媒在线 (President: Kohei Itoh) and Furukawa Electric Co., Ltd. (President: Hideya Moridaira) have installed hollow-core fiber optic cables at the 麻豆传媒在线 Future Photonic Network Open Lab on 麻豆传媒在线's Shin-Kawasaki Town Campus (K2) and have begun experiments on an ultra-low latency network campus connecting multiple buildings. This was conducted as part of the "Research and Development of Advanced Optical Transmission Technology for a Green Society" project by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications. This marks the completion of the world's first facility where engineers from both inside and outside 麻豆传媒在线 can experiment with hollow-core fiber in a near-practical environment.
